Most of us, we have more agreements than disagreements I think. So let’s talk about the necesssity to investigate the relative proportions of the common refrain I’ve been seeing on here.
USA Bad.
Putin Bad.
It’s more complicated than though. Primarily, in terms of relativity Putin comes nowhere close to the atrocities committed by the American state, and in this instance, his tactical moves most likely prevented a civil war in Ukraine and at least heavily thwarted a US black op led proxy war in the Ukraine.
There was something interesting in his speech, as the Russian Communist Party is picking up popularity, and because of them being the largest opposition party to Putin’s more liberal politics, he has to make concessions and acknowledge them and rule as a popular front president instead of simply letting Russia be robbed further by the oligarchs.
Hence, we saw the nationalization of the heavy industries and reinvestment in the Russian peoples and the aid in self-determination for DPR and LPR. Unlike our Oligarchs and the impotent western leftists, the communists in Russia really do have a popular front among the people to force some of his policies economically left.
2021 Parliamentary Results, +15 seats to the Russian Communists as the opposition party:
Let us not also forget that the 2014 color revolution turned coup, is the reason the Rightist government exists in Ukrain to begin with, the US state is responsible for that with it’s NATO allies. If not for that, we wouldn’t even be in this situation. Let us also not forget, the mercurial term leftist, which supposes itself to be anti fascist, seems to tow the imperial line against Putin in favor of our own State, the most unqualified entity to be accusing any other country of invasion, human rights abuses, or breaking international law—the pentagon and military industrial complex does it with impunity. Yet these same anti fascists also tow the NATO narrative line, carrying water for the state department, when The US, France and the UK among other literally have been sending weapons to The Ukraine military in preparation for this exact proxy war.
Let me explain what this means In case you’re totally smooth brained. If you’re supporting the US state over the Russian defense of the DPR and LPR, you’re supporting the arming of literal Nazis. The Azov Battalion, if you didn’t know, is the Neo-Nazi National Guard in Ukraine that has been suppressing ethnic Russians in the eastern contested territory that Putin just recognized as sovereign and therefore made an defense accord with.
So “Putin bad” sure maybe in a vacuum and a purity testing politics. But we live in the real world. And the real world is messy. While Putin handles business in his own back yard, a place namely where we westerners have no right to be nor should we have any influence on how the run their society, why are we not looking at our own military industrial complex and trying to dismantle it at home? Why the shrieking against “russian imperialism” when your own government is the root cause of the totality of not only the current Ukrainian situation but of the world economic order under the IMF in its rampant imperialism, damaging far more than a defensive skirmish in a country we have no business being involved in to begin with. Fix your own country’s government first. To quote a biblical passage in tribute to the Orthodox Church in Russia
Book of Matthew Ch 7, verses 3-5
3 “Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? 4 How can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when all the time there is a plank in your own eye? 5 You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye.
I don’t see what is so hard about understanding the platonic concept of a just war. A military action that promotes a greater peace than what would’ve happened had no action been taken is easy to ethically understand. it’s not picking sides, but it is analyzing the material reality of the Geopolitical tensions in a certain region.
You Ukraine concern trolls act like we’re siding with Russia as a moral thing, but that’s not it. Russia’s actions saved more lives than it took. For the people of eastern Ukraine, their eight years of terror are over. For the rest of the people of Ukraine Russia is not asking or forcing them to join the Russian federation, the terms of surrender is neutrality and disarmament and no NATO membership. But that requires understanding what’s actually happening and not just going off of state department propaganda that does actually force you to choose sides, which is what you’re doing, pretending to be antiwar while siding with a US state department. Then what happened? Shit popped off and NATO peace’d ✌🏻 out to leave the obviously inferior force to fend for itself. Some ally huh?
All this Blows my mind. To the Angloid CIAool-Aid drinking echo chamber philistine leftists, let me remind you…
You know nothing of Russia 🇷🇺 you’ve never talked to Russians; you’ve never talked to Ukrainians; you’ve never talked to eastern Ukrainians obviously, you’ve never bothered to investigate what Ukrainian and Russian Communists are saying about the current situation or their historical stances (hint: Russian communists thought Putin waited too long to rid the Ukraine of Nazi scum) and it’s quite obvious.
Your information bubble is that of the US media sphere, which time and time and time again has proved itself completely unreliable, hypocritical and relentless liars to manufacture consent for western war narratives. So whether you consciously pick a side so long as you’re spouting state department talking points, is irrelevant, as you’ve already picked a side surreptitiously and it’s not antiwar, it’s not for greater peace—it’s a self righteous boutique left shitib position That is inherently western chauvinist by nature, and reeks of American exceptionalism, with hints of fear about the multi polarity that is a upon us in the post Covid world
